Sugar Ray Norcia

Born Raymond Allen Norcia in 1954, in Stonington, Connecticut, Ray is referred to by some as "The Frank Sinatra of the Blues", based on his smooth vocal delivery. He also excels on harmonica and is always mentioned at the very top of the ladder among vocalists and harpists. He is a marvelous interpreter of the great Walter Horton and he has a fantastic songbook of originals, classic blues, swing, and R&B. Known primarily for his work with the Bluetones, Ray did a stint with Roomful of Blues and has been featured on many fine recordings. Ray is still active, and you can learn more about him at sugarrayandthebluetones.com
