Anson Funderburgh

A true Texas guitar legend, Anson grew up in the "Texas Push Circuit", playing the music of Ray Sharpe, Jimmy Reed, and Bill Doggett for that particular dance craze! Anson began his climb to worldwide prominence and recognition when Black Top released his first LP in 1981, Talk To You By Hand. It would take numerous pages to list all of Anson's accomplishments and recording credits since that first Black Top release. His associations with great vocalists Darrell Nulisch, Sam Myers, Kim Wilson, Delbert McClinton, Nappy Brown, Big Joe Maher, and many others are immortalized on record. He carries on the legacy of great guitarists Freddy King, Albert Collins, Ray Sharpe, and Ike Turner, and he is a contemporary of the great Jimmie Vaughan. He is still in great health and tours with a variety of artists, including Mark Hummel, Eric Lindell, Delbert McClinton, and Big Joe Maher. One of the definite good guys in the music business, Anson has always been a dignified and class act!
